Frequently asked questions
Quick, honest answers about Clixvia — who we are, how we work, how we are funded, and how we handle your data.
What is Clixvia?
Clixvia is an independent consumer-technology site that explains apps, gadgets, the internet, online security and privacy, and AI in plain, jargon-free language — for ordinary people who just want things to work.
Who writes your guides?
Every article is written or edited by a named member of our small team, each with a focus area (apps, gadgets, security, or AI). You can read their backgrounds on our About page, and see what each has written on their author page.
Is the site free, and how do you make money?
Clixvia is free to read. We are funded by advertising and, occasionally, affiliate links. Ads are served through third-party partners that may include Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager. Advertising is always kept clearly separate from our articles — see our disclosure.
Are your reviews and recommendations independent?
Yes. We never accept payment to praise an app, gadget, or service — there is no pay-for-praise and no pay-for-placement in our editorial content. Affiliate relationships never change our judgement. Our full standards are in our editorial policy.
How current is your information?
Technology changes constantly, so menus, buttons, and steps on your device may look a little different from our guides. We revisit and refresh popular articles, and we always point you to the official help page for the exact app or device when details matter.
Do you give professional security, legal, or financial advice?
No. Our content is general educational information — not professional advice tailored to your situation. Our security and privacy guidance describes sound best practices, but it cannot guarantee you will never face fraud, malware, or a breach.
I have been scammed or hacked — can you help?
We are not able to handle individual incidents. If you are dealing with fraud, identity theft, a hacked account, or financial loss, contact your bank or card provider, the relevant service provider, and your local authorities or consumer-protection agency right away — that is faster and safer than relying on any article.
How do you handle my privacy and cookies?
We default to a no-advertising-cookie state until you consent, and you can change your mind any time. The details are in our privacy policy and cookie policy, including how to opt out of personalised ads.
Can I suggest a topic or report an error?
Please do. We take reader questions and corrections seriously — email us or use the contact page, and we fix mistakes quickly and note substantive corrections on the article.
Who owns and operates Clixvia?
Clixvia is published by MOODLR DESENVOLVIMENTO DIGITAL LTDA (trading as Moodlr Dev Hub), CNPJ 22.136.919/0001-40, based in EUSEBIO, CE, Brazil — CEP 61775060. You can reach us at hello@clixvia.com.
